About Us
Weekend was formed in 2000 when the web-sun was shining brightest and we were four guys who worked day and night with ASP programming. We worked mostly for Ericsson and the opportunities were seemingly endless.
Weekend is a fun-loving company, and the fun part has been a main feature of the Weekend-way. Fun at work=good results.
The IT-bubble burst almost immediately thereafter, but Weekend managed to ride out the storm, and at the same time our main customer Ericsson introduced a content management system. We perhaps didn't always like it in the beginning, but we saw the future and it was content management.
The advantage with becoming involved early on with various content management systems was that we have, with time, become experts regarding the underlying technology, written manuals, educated customers' employees, and even driven development of systems forward.
Much has happened since then. Weekend has become more focused on web-publishing. This has included hundreds and hundreds of sites were we have been project leaders, designers, and do-ers - often all of those roles at once. We have also undertaken technical investigations and created site architecture for small and large companies.
We are larger now, but we still think that the web is the answer to the world's problems, and a passion for exceeding expectations is something that all of us who work at Weekend have in common.
